Sarah Palin did surprisingly well on SNL. She still is an idiot and she is not going to the White House. P.S. I love Tina Fey~

This was absolutely the best election debate out of the three of them. It was very fiery and fierce. McCain was certainly taking the lead in the beginning of the election by attacking Obama with the"plummer Joe" statements and Obama wrongness with the middle man of the country with higher taxes. However, my man Obama kept his cool as usual and not McCain where it hurt. Obama addressed the issues that are on the mind of all Americans are the economy continues to collapse. He spoke to the people, answering their concerns and worries of the future. Obama delivered a clever and honorable closing speech. I don't think that anyone's mind were changed last night but both candidates certainly made a great impression. OBAMA 08!

Kimberly Dozier came to Stony Brook University to express her experience and survival as a CBS correspondent in Baghdad. The story that she shared with students was moving. It is amazing how after everything she has been through, from the car bombing and lost of her crew she was able to recover mentally and physically. I found her story to truly demonstrate the devotion and love for journalism that one can have. She didn't let death of her friends and the danger of her life stop her from what she loves most.

I found the Los Angeles Times to be very user-friendly. The Times has created a very organized web site, allowing viewers easy access to all the linked stories and topics. The web site is visually appealing, with a variety colors and pictures to draw viewers into the site. The web site certainly has a purpose of discussion of current breaking news and news stories.
The L. A. Times has certainly adjusted to the modern day technology by advancing its site by adding web videos and blogs. The Times has also made registration a simple process for those who wish to sign up. The Times allows readers to customize news to fit their own preference for their homepage.
I do find, however, that the Times has a large selection of entertainment news, with discussions of gossip and celebrity drama. The Times also has a lot of advertisement on its homepage, but it does not clutter the visual aspect of the web site. Overall, the L.A.Times is very accessible, visually appealing to one’s eye, and offers a variety of news coverage, with great photos and videos to add color to stories.
ABC News online, is a great web site overall. It is filled with trendy topics and great accessibility. ABC news on line has a great NAV that offers viewers links to multiple topics with breaking news and strong content. The major content areas that are available for the readers are: the breaking news stories, weather, entertainment, health, law, politics, money and travel. ABC on line is structured in a very simplistic and organized manner. The public is easily able to access information from this website because of it outstanding clarity of subject matter on line. The public is able to get information on these strong content areas each day from this website.
The purpose of this website is to relate television news to a website where typical television viewers can access old news, and videos on line. It is a very interactive website with visual content and discussions within blogs. The website is also visually appealing with large photos and vibrant colors. ABC news on line offers a variety of polling, a direct link to ESPN Sports, and a high quality 2008 Senator Obama versus Senator McCain election coverage. In covering the election, they have included large demographic charts of each candidate, video footage of the debates and an assortment of related topics. What makes this website great is that they allow RSS feeds, pod casts and they allow viewers to send stories to each other. They also outline top headline stories and they offer their viewers the option to customize news that is newsworthy to them
Pod casts have become a great informative interactive tool for the public. People enjoy hearing information disseminated to them via the pod cast. This website allows its readers to navigate through the news in a very simple way. .
The Perez Hilton website is a very attractive website for those who are intrigued by gossip. With over 2 million viewers a day, they are addicted to Hilton’s celebrity news.
The overall presentation of the website is quite disorganized. It is definitely not user friendly. The content of information is not sourced and it is strictly based on one’s opinion and cease to exist as a blog page. The information cited isn’t original and it consumes information from a variety of other publications. This website lacks a NAV.
The Perez Hilton website isn’t visually appealing. There is no substance to the content cited on this website. As one goes on this website, you don’t have any particular direction to go. Everything on this website has no real significance to what is happening in the world today. The purpose of this website is to give commentaries on celebrity news and gossip. People may question the quality of news on this website because it doesn’t deal with everyday local and world news. It is quite difficult to navigate this website. It is somewhat confusing and misleading in the content areas. It doesn’t have any strong content or organization. Yes, it is trendy for one reason. It deals with celebrities and their trendy designs and thoughts. It is original because of its topics on who’s who in the celebrity lime light.
This website could use a total overhaul in making it more appealing to its readers of all ages through greater organization and providing stronger content.
